Biologic Architecture in Practice By Michael Rice DVD

Biologic Architecture in Practice By Michael Rice
English | 640x480 | AVI | 850 MB

Bio-Architecture is a new science of LIFE FORCE in buildings, based on the science of how a building makes and generates the required FRACTAL FIELD. Re creating our built environment

Everything is energy, which moves about in waves. When two or more waves of energy meet and greet it is called wave interference. If these waves cancel each other out it is called destructive interference, and as you might guess when the waves create a new more sustainable pattern it is called constructive interference. Nature realised early on that constructive interference creates energy patterns, which support the evolution of life and life supporting environments. So be it an egg, a forest or a galaxy, the electrical charge symmetry of natural forms is not only the playground of life, but life itself.

These shapes and resulting ratios, proportions and growth algorithms provide us with a magnificent blueprint for the design and creation of spaces that are literally filled with life energy (capacitive charge density). All of the designs available on this site are based on these natural design harmonics. There are no arbitrary walls positions or dimensions. Every building element, from the plan matrices to the built volumes and enclosures support biology measurably.

Countless folk who have built homes using this approach not only get to live in brighter and more beautiful spaces, but they often describe experiencing a definite positive shift in their circumstances, ranging from health to relationship issues.

More holistic and natural approaches are emerging (re-emerging - more accurately) informing the ways we give birth, prepare and store food, heal, process information, build shelter, create communities and ultimately die. The expression “it’s not meant to be hard” seems appropriate here, as we have been conditioned into giving our power away quite easily, and to believe that in order to effect positive change in our lives and societies we need to have multiple PhDs, unlimited funds and boundless time and energy.

This new wave of awareness presents us with a pure principle anchor, a practical grounded philosophy based on simple measurable scientific principles, which apply in all life circumstances, because it is the way nature works - not a bad frame of reference if one wants to create a truly sustainable world.

Clams Casino - Rainforest EP (2011)

Clams Casino is Mike Volpe. Mike Volpe is known for the collaborative work he has done with Indie/Based rap sensation, Lil B. Until recently, Mike didn't really know how to make a song in 320kbps. This is a guy who searches for random sound files on Limewire so he can slow them down to a molasses-like crawl and later, throw a doom/dread/end-of-the-world-like beat over it all and call it a track... In WFLM-layman terms, this is glittery beat-music. Think: hard-knock drums, slowed-down gauzy vocal stabs and extremely lo-fi recording techniques. All of this, covered in digital moss, of course. This is a Tri Angle Records production after all.

James Blake - Air and Lack Thereof (2009)

Tweedy vocal samples and bright synthesizer patches make this James Blake debut a straight heater. It was clear (even back in 2009) when James Blake first began releasing music that he was already on to something. This was post/dubstep unlike anything else out there, at the time. His motto/trick/savoir-faire: you really gotta leave room for the tracks to breathe. Now that's something they don't teach you, even at the most technically-oriented of conservatoires. Think forward, always.

Who's Driving The Dreambus (2010) DVD-Rip

'Who's Driving The Dreambus' is a feature-length documentary exploring life’s most profound mystery, a quest for discovering the true nature of self and the purpose of being here, now ...

Life is full of big questions : Who am I ? Why am I here ? Why is there suffering ? Is there life after death ? and ultimately, the question we all try to find the answer to, How can I find happiness or peace of mind ?

But what if that search for happiness was based on a huge misconception, a misconception that has been drummed into us since birth, that we are separate individuals ?

In Who’s Driving the Dreambus ? film makers Boris and Claire Jänsch go on a personal journey through a series of interviews with eminent spiritual teachers, philosophers and writers - in a quest to unravel what it means to be alive. This radical and challenging documentary ventures into the heart of the mystery of identity, flipping the idea of spiritual endeavor on its head, revealing a message so profound and yet so simple that it might just end the search.

'Who's Driving The Dreambus ?' features interviews with Amit Goswami, Gangaji, Tony Parsons, Genpo Roshi, Guy Smith, Jeff Foster, Toni Packer & Timothy Freke.

Krishna Das traveled to India in the 1960s where, along with Ram Dass, he studied with a Hindu guru named Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji). Krishna Das has studied ancient Indian meditation practices, Bhakti Yoga - in Hinduism this is the yoga of devotion, and is now devoted to singing and teaching. He has released several CDs, and he travels around the world giving performances and teaching, sometimes with Ram Dass. In recent years he also has often led workshops in combination with leading meditation teacher Sharon Salzberg. He has also offered workshops with yoga teacher Dharma Mittra.
Krishna Das is arguably the best known U.S. singer of Indian kirtan-style devotional music. Other artists working within this genre include Bhagavan Das, Jai Uttal, Ragani, Eddy Nataraj, Sean Johnson and The Wild Lotus Band, Shyamdas, Lokah Music, Wah!, Deva Premal, Girish and Snatam Kaur.
Krishna Das has recorded numerous variations of Hanuman Chalisa, a 40 stanza Hindi devotional poem to Hanuman by Tulsidas (c.1600). In recent years, he has also performed and recorded the traditional gospel song, "Jesus is on the Mainline". He has commented that he read the Gospels while in India and, "they sound a lot different at 10,000 feet". He also remarked that there has been some criticism about an "ex-jewish boy" chanting the name of Jesus. He responds to this by saying that his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, once said "Jesus is Love," and singing about Jesus is just singing about love. Other heterodoxies are found on his album Door of Faith (2003), which includes a setting of the Hanuman Chalisa that interpolates the Buddhist "Gate of Sweet Nectar" and a setting of the Gospel tune "God is Real" which blends in "Hare Ram".
Krishna Das's harmonium bears an image of Hanuman, and he generally wears red T-shirts when he performs (a coloring associated with Hanuman).
Krishna Das's musical style is distinctly Western, using chord progressions typical of Western popular music. The kirtans he leads often build from a slow, meditative tempo to a high paced catharsis. It is common for his audiences to stand up and dance during some of his Hare Krishna chants. The ensembles with which Krishna Das performs changes frequently. He is usually accompanied by a tabla player (Arjun Bruggeman), other percussions (including cymbals, drum kits, and occasionally cowbell and triangle), strings (cello or violin—Genevieve Walker), or electric bass guitar (Mark Gorman, Mark Egan or Patrick Hammond), or guitar (David Nichtern). Often, he is accompanied on kartals (small wooden percussion instruments from Indian) by Nina Rao.
Krishna Das has been associated with many other artists. Two of his albums have featured Hans Christian as a guest multi-instrumentalist, and Sting appears on the the album "Pilgrim Heart". He has also appeared on an album with Baird Hersey & Prana entitled "Gathering In The Light".
Krishna Das has written about how his Guru put him onto the path of Kirtan, and a quotation follows [1]:
'At what would turn out to be my last darshan of Maharaj-ji's physical body, I was petrified with fear about returning to the U.S. after so many years. I hadn't worn a pair of jeans or shoes for such a long time that I couldn't imagine what it would be like. I didn't want to ask Maharaj-ji what I should do in America, but all of a sudden I blurted out in anguish, 'Maharaj-ji! How can I serve you in America?' 'He looked at me with mock disgust and said, 'What is this? If you ask how you should serve then it is no longer service. Do what you want.' I couldn't believe my ears. How could doing what I wanted to do be of service to him? I didn't have that kind of faith. I just sat there, stunned. Then after a minute or so he looked over at me, smiling sweetly, and asked, 'So, how will you serve me?' 'My mind was blank. It was time for me to leave for Delhi, to catch the plane back to the States. He was looking at me and laughing. I bent down and touched his feet for the last time and when I looked up he, he was beaming at me, 'So, how will you serve me in America?' I felt like I was moving in a dream. I floated across the courtyard and bowed to him one more time from a distance. As I did, the words came to me, 'I will sing to you in America.' 'Soon afterwards, during the full moon in September, Neem Karoli Baba left his body. Now he had to be found within. The chanting, the meditation, the puja and all the wonderful time spent with Maharaj-ji turned out to be seeds that he himself had planted in my heart... seeds that would keep growing and blossom by his Grace.

Jai Uttal - Music for Yoga and Other Joys

Jai Uttal - Music for Yoga and Other Joys
World Ethnic | 2004 | 1CD | MP3 | 192 Kbps | 101 Mb

Music for yoga is such a cliché that you could slap that moniker on a Barry Manilow CD and have it sold as a soundtrack for Downward Facing Dog pose. Yoga music has become a made-to-order commodity, and rarely attains the level of art. The title Music for Yoga and Other Joys doesn't bode well, but then, it has Jai Uttal, a veteran of world fusion going back 15 years and a devotee of kirtan singing teaming up with multi-instrumentalist Ben Leinbach for a series of extended improvisations. Leinbach creates a shifting back drop of chilled, Indian-derived grooves and textures like liquid mercury dipped in a fractal swirl. It's a perfect modal backdrop for Uttal, who improvises freely on an Indian stringed instrument called the dotar, electric guitar, and even banjo. Pieces like the 26-minute "Govinda" extend in a free fall until a rhythm loop drops in. Uttal swaps to a fuzzed out electric guitar solo that eventually merges into an improvised kirtan, his voice coiling in note-bending spirals like soul singing from the east. This may be music for yoga, but it's the other joys that will keep you coming back.

Yoga is Putumayo’s first CD release featuring songs selected to accompany yoga practice and serve as a relaxing soundtrack for daily life. Rooted in ancient Hindu, Buddhist and Jain traditions, the practice of yoga has evolved over the past 5,000 years. Adopted by millions of people around the world, yoga provides a vehicle for greater health and spiritual awareness. Music has long had a close relationship with yoga, particularly in the Bhakti tradition, which incorporates musical chants into its practice.
With his extensive background as a yoga instructor and musician, Sean Johnson, founder of Wild Lotus Yoga studio in New Orleans, collaborated closely with Putumayo on this project. Combining songs used in his classes with Putumayo’s global research, Yoga creates a musical flow that works as well during yoga practice as at home for meditation or relaxation. Sean’s expansive liner notes, which include a glossary of yoga terms, will help people better understand the practice of yoga and its relationship to music.
Yoga features renowned musicians from around the world. The Burmese Harp con subtitulos

Biruma No Tategoto (1956)
116 min | Xvid 560x400 | 1624 kb/s | 192 kb/s cbr AC3 | 23.97 fps | 1.38 GB
Japanese | Subtitles: (separate) English and Spanish .srt | Genre: Drama/War

An Imperial Japanese Army regiment surrenders to British forces in Burma at the close World War II and finds harmony through song. A corporal, thought to be dead, disguises himself as a Buddhist monk and stumbles upon spiritual enlightenment. Magnificently shot in hushed black and white, Kon Ichikawa’s The Burmese Harp is an eloquent meditation on beauty coexisting with death and remains one of Japanese cinema’s most overwhelming antiwar statements, both tender and brutal in its grappling with Japan’s wartime legacy.

Be Love Now by Ram Dass

Be Love Now by Ram Dass [Unabridged]Publisher: Harper Audio (2 Nov 2010) | ISBN n/a | ASIN: B004ADMCH2 | Language English | Audio CD in MP3 /128 kbps | 10 hours and 14 minutes | 593 MB

Ram Dass, one of America's most beloved spiritual teachers, sparked a revolution forty years ago with the publication of Be Here Now. This landmark classic inspired an entire generation to see the world in a different light. Over the past four decades Ram Dass has been a beacon for seekers worldwide, challenging us to find new sources of meaning and purpose in our lives.

Be Love Now is the third book in a trilogy that began with Be Here Now and was followed by Still Here, Ram Dass's acclaimed work on aging, changing, and dying. In Be Love Now, Ram Dass shares what he has learned in his remarkable four-decade-long spiritual journey. Through timeless teaching stories, compelling and often humorous personal anecdotes, and soul-stirring insights, Ram Dass tracks the stages of his own awakening in his trademark down-to-earth style. Starting with his days as Harvard psychologist and psychedelic inventurer, continuing through his profound encounters with his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, and moving beyond the reawakening brought on by his near-fatal stroke, Ram Dass shares his life experiences while offering a timeless teaching on love and the path of the heart.
Guiding us through the pitfalls and perils of our own spiritual path, Be Love Now is both a deeply personal and wonderfully universal exploration that will open hearts and minds. Ram Dass once again blazes a new trail, inviting all to join him on this next stage of the journey.

Ram Dass’s long-awaited Be Love Now is the transformational teaching of a forty year journey to the heart. The author of the two-million-copy classic Remember, Be Here Now and its influential sequel Still Here, Dass is joined once more by Rameshwar Das—a collaborator from the Love Serve Remember audio recordings—to offer this intimate and inspiring exploration of the human soul. Like Deepak Chopra’s Book of Secrets, the Dalai Lama’s Art of Happiness, and Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Coming to Our Senses, Ram Dass’s Be Love Now will serve as a lodestar for anyone seeking to enhance their spiritual awareness and improve their capacity to serve—and love—the world around them

Deep Mind - Alpha Brainwave Entrainment

Deep Mind - 10 Hz (Alpha) Brainwave Entrainment CDAudio CD 29 January, 2011 | ISBN n/a | Language: English | Audio CD in FLAC | 766 MB

This CD comprises two 30 minute brainwave entrainment tracks. The pulse frequency for both tracks is 10 Hz (alpha). The pulse is generated by isochronic, monaural, and binaural waveforms. The two tracks differ only in terms of the ambient nature sounds and harmonic melodies accompanying each track.

Track 1 Water Chimes includes the soothing sound of flowing water and bamboo wind chimes. Track 2 Birdsong Shower includes the relaxing sound of gentle rain with distant bird songs.

Alpha brainwave frequencies are associated with mind states of deep calmness, relaxation, and inner well-being.

The brainwave entrainment pulses on this CD are effective when listened to through audio speakers or headphones. Use passive noise-isolating in-ear headphones for optimal audio reproduction of entrainment pulses. Quality pillow speakers may be used. (Be careful using chorded headphones when sleeping.) Do not set your audio player to repeat the track. For further information on how to listen to Deep Mind Audio, click here.

NB: This CD, sold separately, is also part of the Brain Evolution Series of 10 CDs offered by Deep Mind. The Brain Evolution Series is a complete meditation training program that evolves the brain through normal processes of learning to achieve alpha, theta, and delta brainwave states and the health and wellbeing benefits that can be obtained in these states. The author of the best-selling The Power of Now and A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle has dedicated much of his life to teaching others how to live in the present moment. His message has reached millions who are looking to transform their lives and evolve to a higher consciousness.

Born in Germany in 1948, Eckhart was educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. Eckhart says he suffered from bouts of depression and suicidal thoughts until he experienced a profound inner transformation at age 29. During this transformation, Eckhart says he became aware that his feelings of sadness, dread and fear were all part of his ego. One morning, he awoke to find that his ego had dissolved and life was fresh and beautiful and his mind free of constant mental chatter.

Armed with this new perspective on life, Eckhart began teaching spiritual workshops to small groups of people, and in 1999, he published The Power of Now to international acclaim. In 2005, he published A New Earth, and in 2008, it became an Oprah's Book Club pick and the basis of an exclusive online webcast hosted by himself and Oprah. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of consciousness, a spiritual awakening that he sees as the next step in human evolution. An essential aspect of this awakening consists of transcending our ego-based state of consciousness.

Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but he draws from many to covey his teachings. Through his writings and seminars, Eckhart has inspired people around the world to transform their lives, achieve personal happiness and contribute to the ending of violent conflict on our planet.

Heal Yourself with Yoga

Heal Yourself with Yoga By Ram E R Kumar
Publisher: DB Taraporevala, India 1983-10 | 195 Pages | ISBN: 0862494605 | DjVu (OCR) | 2.8 MB

PREFACE I am not a professional exponent of Yoga or a guru
peddling spiritualism. The reason for my writing
this medico-yogic treatise was my father's 40-year
bouts with asthma and the general ill-health of the
family—afflicted by diabetes, rheumatism as age
advanced and, of course, asthma, among others.
Unfortunately, this heavy burden is carried on to
the present day in the different branches of the
family tree.
With some exceptions, like myself. If heredity
has a say, I should be spending sleepless nights,
wheezing and coughing, fighting with my bodily
system for the supply of every ounce of oxygen
down the trachea. Yet I enjoy blissful nights and
zest-filled days.
Paradoxically, I owe my general good health—so
far, what the future holds I know not—-to my father's
suffering and his final conquest of asthma. Ours
was a very orthodox Brahmin family; yet I remem-
ber my father gulping down chicken soup, powder-
ed crocodile liver, black-monkey rasayana—anything
and everything which was rumoured to bring even
temporary relief from those crippling asthmatic
attacks. Needless to say, he had tried all systems of
medicine—allopathy, ayurveda, unani, homoeopathy
and, of course, quackery—all in vain.
He had resigned himself to those asthmatic
attacks, when he came across a series of articles on
Yoga asanas in a magazine. Believing that he could
not lose—for his knowledge of Yoga then was confin-
ed to the belief that it should be strictly left to the
world-weary and the weird living in Himalayan
isolation or to the showman in the circus—he started
practising the Yogic poses, with the magazine
articles acting as guide and guru. Six months pass-
ed, and it seemed to him that the asthmatic attacks
had become less frequent, less violent.
Asthma had so far not claimed me for itself, and
father decided that notwithstanding my age — I
was in my pre-teens — I should be started on Yoga
practice immediately. Thus began my study and
practice of Yoga.
He had by then got hold of many books on Yoga
asanas. Among them I remember those by V. N.
Kumaraswamy, Bangalore Sundaram and Swami
Sivananda. We both avidly read them and practised
the poses almost fanatically. Within two years,
father could claim that he had finally controlled a
40-year-old demon which no medicine could kill.
If I can congratulate myself on anything in life,
it is my sticking to Yogic practice like a leech despite
the little inconveniences that cropped up occasion-
ally. And I may claim that it is to this steadfastness
that I owe my good health and energy.
Having gained something, I wanted to share. It
is this desire which goaded me into this venture of
writing. Though initially I wanted to serialise the
articles in a magazine, a casual reference about the
manuscript to a friend led me to approach some
publishers. To my pleasant surprise, more than one
showed their interest in it.
It is my good fortune that the MS finally found
itself in the able hands of Dr. R. J. Mehta of D. B.
Taraporevala Sons and Co. Private Ltd. and Dr. K.
P. Dave, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, both of
whom have done a thorough job of revising the text.
I owe them my sincere gratitude.
I should also mention my gratitude for the support
extended by my wife Uma, a teacher, and my
daughters Meera, a medical student, and Krishna,
all of whom practise Yoga asanas.
My efforts will not have been in vain if this book
helps alleviate the suffering of even one person.
Bombay E. R. RAM KUMAR

Ten Guiding Principles for Socially Engaged Buddhism

Ten Guiding Principles for Socially Engaged Buddhism

by Diana Winston and Donald Rothberg

1. Setting Intention, Clarifying Motivation:

Our actions can be dedicated to the benefit and awakening of all beings. Keeping this intention in mind helps our actions to go beyond mere “do-gooding,” fighting so-called oppression, or just “getting things done,” into the realm of dharma practice.

2. Interbeing and Co-Responsibility:

We look at our tendencies to separate “us” and “them,” and “inner” and “outer.” We see in ourselves the same structures of greed, hatred, and delusion that we seek to change. We realize that there is ultimately no “other” to fight against, yet we also recognize that some are indeed in positions of greater responsibility for suffering and oppression.

3. Not Knowing, But Keep Going:

Our work is to remain open to what is unknown, mysterious, and confusing, and to avoid easy answers and habitual views. Maybe we’re wrong or incomplete. We cultivate the ability to listen openly, to hold the multiple questions and perspectives that arise, and to be present with whatever is coming up.

4. Opening to Suffering:

In our meditation practice, we learn to be present in the face of suffering, working through out reactivity, denial, avoidance, and fears, and exploring and transforming the roots of suffering. We bring this skill outward, not turning away from the suffering and injustice that we find in our families, communities, work, society, and world. Our action comes increasingly out of our compassion.

5. Acting from Equanimity:

Can we bring equanimity–the state of even-mindedness and balance–to all our actions, balancing acceptance and understanding of the present moment and its causes and conditions with compassion and the intention to respond to suffering?

6. Being Peace:

Thich Nhat Hanh says that “peace is every step.” We are careful in balancing task- and process-orientation, ends and means. Beyond ideological differences, we share a commitment to be in ourselves that which we are trying to bring about in the world–peace and freedom.

7. Mindfulness and Presence in Action:

Open, mindful awareness is the fundamental nature of our being. How can we cultivate this presence in our actions in any domain, and cut through tendencies to be distracted, to be caught in fixed views and habitual patterns of thought, body, and emotion?

8. Embracing Paradox:

How can we hold in creative tension what often seem to be contradictory perspectives–that all is “as it needs to be” and that we feel deeply moved to respond to suffering, that we are both personal and universal, that nothing needs to happen and that everything needs to happen?

9. Devotedly Do… Without Attachment:

In our practice, we learn of the roots of suffering in compulsive attachment to objects, experiences, ways of doing things, views, and outcomes. Yet non-attachment does not mean complacency, passivity, separation from life, lack of commitment, or non-doing. We have to act. Action that comes from clear seeing and an open heart can be deeply committed, yet without attachment.

10. Loving Kindness: Taking Care of Ourselves, We Take Care of the World:

Like the parent who uses the mask in an airplane emergency first, before helping the child, we need to attend to our long-range well-being. We need to attend to the signs of burnout of resentment. Cultivating our own awakening and joy, we may truly be of use, and naturally seek the well-being of others.
