Reichian Therapy: The Technique, for Home Use

Reichian Therapy: The Technique, for Home Use
CreateSpace | February 12, 2010 | English | ISBN: 1442137800 | 534 pages | PDF | 2.2MB

534 page manual of Reichian Therapy self therapy to use at home without the need of a therapist.
Reichian therapy has been practiced by trained therapists for 80 years. Until now the technique was a closely guarded secret being available only to people who went through a multi-year training. In short, until now Reichian therapy has been based on an antiquated guild system of learning.

t is to be appreciated that Reichian therapy is psychotherapy. It is not mysticism, it is not meditation, it is not occult. It is not chakras or auras or meridians. It is psychotherapy. The major
difference in Reichian therapy is that it approaches the psychotherapeutic process by working on the body. The methods here were first developed by Wilhelm Reich and then added to by various practitioners including the author. Since Reich did not leave any detailed description of his technique, it is not possible to say with confidence which of the exercises presented are directly those used by Reich and which were added by other practitioners. The author was taught the therapy by Francis Regardie who practiced this therapy for over three decades. The author has been practicing the therapy for three and one half decades and thus this presentation bears the signature of over sixty five years of experience.

A Shrine for Tibet: The Alice S. Kandell Collection of Tibetan Sacred Art

Marylin Rhie, Robert Thurman, John Bigelow Taylor, "A Shrine for Tibet: The Alice S. Kandell Collection of Tibetan Sacred Art"
O..rl..k H...cov.. | 2010-02-04 | ISBN: 1590203100 | 336 pages | PDF | 62,4 MB

Marilyn Rhie and Robert Thurman have provided an exciting book which organizes Tibetan History and the Tibetan bronze statues through identification of historical period and stylistic development. The examples of bronzes that have been selected and the explanation of the Boddhisatva's, Buddhas and Historical Rinpoche not only gives the reader an education through the wonderful descriptions, but also through looking at the superb photography of John Bigelow Taylor. This is definitely a great book for connoiseurs who want to study the evolution of the sculpture via geographical differences.

The Alice Kandell Collection is certainly a wondeful bronze collection of unusual and rare examples of Tibetan Sculpture. It certainly provides the peace and tranquility we would all like to attain through the experiences she must have felt in selecting and collecting each individual piece. This is definitely a book that I would recommend for anyone interested in Tibetan culture.

Kundalini the Secret of Yoga by Gopi Krishna

Gopi Krishna points out in Kundalini the Secret of Yoga that there is much more to Yoga than its benefits to health, control over the body and potential for developing paranormal abilities. The significance of Yoga, and the purpose for which the discipline as a whole was really designed, lies in its potential for enabling the practitioner to actually experience expanded states of consciousness and to verify the existence of levels of creation other than the one we perceive with our material senses. The other benefits are minor when compared with the real goal. Download Kundalini the Secrets of Yoga by Gopi Krishna as a PDF Ebook here:

Rural Renaissance: Renewing the Quest for the Good Life

John Ivanko, Lisa Kivirist, Bill McKibben, "Rural Renaissance: Renewing the Quest for the Good Life" N.w S.ciety P.blishers | 2009 | ISBN: 0865715041 | 304 pages | PDF | 7,7 MB
In the ’60s it was called the "back to the land" movement, and in Helen and Scott Nearings’ day, it was "living the good life." Whatever the term, North Americans have always yearned for a simpler way. But how do you accomplish that today?

Blending inspiration with practical how-to’s, Rural Renaissance captures the American dream of country living for contemporary times. Journey with the authors and experience their lessons, laughter and love for the land as they trade the urban concrete maze for a five-acre organic farm and bed and breakfast in southwestern Wisconsin. Rural living today is a lot more than farming. It’s about a creative, nature-based and more self-sufficient lifestyle that combines a love of squash, solar energy, skinny-dipping and serendipity . . .

The many topics explored in Rural Renaissance include:

"right livelihood" and the good life
organic gardening and permaculture
renewable energy and energy conservation
wholesome organic food, safe water and a natural home
simplicity, frugality and freedom
green design and recycled materials
community, friends and raising a family
independence and interdependence
wildlife conservation and land stewardship.

An authentic tale of a couple whose pioneering spirit and connection to the land reaches out to both the local and global community to make their dream come true, Rural Renaissance will appeal to a wide range of Cultural Creatives, free agents, conservation entrepreneurs and both arm-chair and real-life homesteaders regardless of where they live.

Lisa Kivirist and John Ivanko are innkeepers, organic growers, copartners in a marketing consulting company, and have previously published books. John is also a photographer. Former advertising agency fast-trackers, they are nationally recognized for their contemporary approach to homesteading, conservation and more sustainable living. They share their farm with their son, two llamas, and a flock of free-range chickens. Rural Renaissance also offers a foreword by Bill McKibben.

Crispin Sartwell, "Six Names of Beauty"

Crispin Sartwell, "Six Names of Beauty"
Routledge | 2004-08-03 | ISBN: 0415965586 | 184 pages | PDF | 1,2 MB

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but it's also in the language we use and everywhere in the world around us. In this elegant, witty, and ultimately profound meditation on what is beautiful, Crispin Sartwell begins with six words from six different cultures - ancient Greek's "to kalon," the Japanese idea of "wabi-sabi," Hebrew's "yapha," the Navajo concept "hozho," Sanskrit "sundara," and our own English-language "beauty."

Each word becomes a door onto another way of thinking about, and looking at, what is beautiful in the world, and in our lives. The earthy and the exalted, the imperfect and the ideal: things, spaces, high art, sounds, aromas, nothingness. Sartwell writes about handfuls of beautiful things - among them, a Japanese teapot and Diana Rigg as Mrs. Emma Peel, the pleasure in a well-used hammer and in pop music and in Vermeer's "Girl in a Red Hat."

In Sartwell's hands these six names of beauty -and there could be thousands more-are revealed as simple and profound ideas about our world and our selves.

Oriental Lawrence: The Quest for the Secrets of Sex

Gerald Doherty - Oriental Lawrence: The Quest for the Secrets of SexPublisher: Pеter Lаng Publishing | 2001-09-01 | ISBN: 0820452130 | PDF | 175 pages | 8.73 MB

Oriental Lawrence: The Quest for the Secrets of Sex explores D. H. Lawrence's engagement with Eastern systems of thought, especially Buddhism and Yoga, which were his main sources of interest. It tracks their impact on his thinking and their influence on his fiction. Lawrence looked to the East less for social, political, or cultural resolutions to the chronic problems that beset the West, but to engage with limit-situations -moments of radical transformation when the self sheds its social accoutrements and discovers dynamic new ways of being-in-the-world. He sought those new levels of awareness, new modes of desire, new ways of transmuting the self, and new soteriological goals that the West seemed unable to offer.

Tao Te Ching en Castellano

Lao Tzu, Derek Lin - Tao Te Ching For IPAD IPHONE

Lao Tzu, Derek Lin - Tao Te Ching (Skylight Illuminations)
Publisher: Skylight Paths Publishing; Annotated edition (August 30, 2006) | Language: English | ISBN-10: 1594732043 | EPUB + MOBI | 169 pages | 1.1 mb + 1.4 mb

Reportedly written by a sage named Lao Tzu over 2,500 years ago, the Tao Te Ching is one of the most succinct-and yet among the most profound--spiritual texts ever written. Short enough to read in an afternoon, subtle enough to study for a lifetime, the Tao Te Ching distills into razor-sharp poetry centuries of spiritual inquiry into the Tao--the "Way" of the natural world around us that reveals the ultimate organizing principle of the universe. Derek Lin's insightful commentary, along with his new translation from the original Chinese--a translation that sets a whole new standard for accuracy--will inspire your spiritual journey and enrich your everyday life. It highlights the Tao Te Ching's insights on simplicity, balance, and learning from the paradoxical truths you can see all around you: finding strength through flexibility (because bamboo bends, it is tough to break); achieving goals by transcending obstacles (water simply flows around rocks on its way to the sea); believing that small changes bring powerful results (a sapling, in time, grows into a towering tree). Now you can experience the wisdom and power of Lao Tzu's words even if you have no previous knowledge of the Tao Te Ching. SkyLight Illuminations provides insightful yet unobtrusive commentary that describes helpful historical background, explains the Tao Te Ching's poetic imagery, and elucidates the ancient Taoist wisdom that will speak to your life today and energize your spiritual quest.

IDRIES SHAH Un Escorpion Perfumado
